10 Russian Job Interview Phrases You Should Actually Know
If you’re learning Russian, sooner or later you’ll hear these questions at a job interview. They also appear in movies, TV shows, and everyday conversations, so they’re useful even if you’re not planning to work in Russia.
Here are some of the most common expressions:
1. Я ищу работу.
I’m looking for a job.
2. Я отправил(а) резюме.
I sent my résumé.
3. Расскажите немного о себе.
Tell me a little about yourself.
One of the most common interview questions in Russian.
4. Какие у вас сильные стороны?
What are your strengths?
Useful vocabulary:
✔️ сильные стороны — strengths
✔️ слабые стороны — weaknesses
5. Почему вы ушли с прошлой работы?
Why did you leave your previous job?
A classic interview question you’ll hear almost everywhere.
6. Какую зарплату вы хотите?
What salary are you looking for?

7. График работы
Work schedule
Examples:
